Good friends + Good Food = Fab time!

Work will start soon, very soon! I can't believe 6 months have already passed! My time as a full-time stay-at-home mom will be finished in 2 weeks. In two weeks time, we will welcome the crazy and no-days-off life of the tourist season.
So today, we had some good friends over for lunch. We had been busy these past few weeks preparing the Villa Portillo units we rent to tourist. We took advantage of the kids' 2 weeks spring break to do what must be done. It was a really small gathering, just 8 people. We made this paella for 12 but it was gone in a flash!

Yes! It was that good!

For dessert we had Lemon Shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate which I made using this recipe. It was a hit especially with the kids!

We also had carrot cake and strawberries dipped in chocolate. Seriously, this carrot cake is delicious as it is, without any frosting! You should try it!

It was a lovely lunch with good friends. Though it rained then snowed in the afternoon, we were all cozy and warm in front of the fireplace enjoying the good company.
